The qualifying competition for the 2006 world cup is now in full swing as the European qualifiers are also underway. The world cup is now less than two years away. Which teams do you want to see this time? Are there any teams that you hope don't get into this tournament. At this moment we can only be sure that Germany will be there.
I hope the Czech Republic and Holland do make it through. They were missing in Korea and Japan and we need these top class teams which played the best match of Euro 2004.
Argentina is my all time favourite. Sunday morning, our time, they were 3-1 winners over Peru. They are in second place in the South American qualifying group with eight out of eighteen rounds played. The top four will qualify automatically.

My favourite team is Argentina. I believe they r gonna repeat the performance as they did in the Olympics. In the recent olympics not a single goal was scored against them. Although the competition was limited for the players under23, i can rely on the Valancian Pablo Aimar, Inter Milan's Hernan Crespo, Real Madrid's Santiago Solari and other superstars...

Hernan Crespo is a Chelsea player on loan to Inter's cross town rivals AC Milan. Argentina have won two more matches, which I wasn't able to watch against Bolivia and Columbia. They now lead the standings with 28 points from 13 matches, four points clear of Brazil. There are only five rounds of matches to go. Argentina are well on their way to Germany.

14 teams have already qualified for Germany. Now there are only 18 seats left. The main casualties for me are Cameroon and Belgium.
