We thought our cricketers were doing well. But Hong Kong beat Nepal by three wickets to give Nepal the taste of their second first class defeat in as many matches. Nepal seemed poised to win against Hong Kong despite being bundled out for a mere 151 in the second innings. Hong Kong had to chase a mammoth 279 to win the match, which they did in the end. All our hopes have been shattered. I will still hope against hope that we can still come back. We should stop calling ourselves a rising force in world cricket for the time being and start working hard again.
Congratulations go to Hong Kong once again for making such a wonderful fightback and beating us.
Just a few weeks ago we were in the brink of qualifying for the semi-finals as one of the best four non-test playing countries. Now, we are not even among the top-four in Asia.
