I was late. I usually consider myself to be a good follower of time even though I don't wear a watch. But from next time, I will make sure I'm there in time.
Well there is this club named the Smart Club which meets every Saturday morning for two hours. It is open only for the graduates of the youth seminar.
There is a moderator announced for every session. He handles the session and says whose turn it is to speak. One of the members is also appointed Chairperson.
The program starts with three speeches. The first one is on a pre-decided topic. Today we decided on the topic "Animal Sacrifice for Religious Reasons" We have appointed a speaker who will be talking about this during the next session which will be taking place after a two week gap because of Dashain.
The next speech will be on a self-decided topic. Ojashwi will be preparing something that he can speak five minutes on.
And then there will be one more speech where the speaker is only aware of the topic a minute before he starts speaking.
After the speakers speak, the commentators (two per speech) go and put their comments on the speakers. Then the gramarians, the aha counters (who count the number of pauses and the number of ands and ahas used by the speakers) and the time keepers say what they have observed.
Different people get this job on different days. Since the next session is three weeks later we didn't decide on everything today and we will decide it on October 29 itself.
I hope I'm not 20 minutes late as I was today. There are people who claimed they were here twentyfive minutes early. So if there are going to be other early comers, I will also try to be one of them.
Here is a good opportunity to become smart. I have to grab this.
