Today's session was the thirty-first session of the Smart Club. Because of Dashain we met after three weeks. For me it was the second session. I was in time for today's session. But because of the rainy weather and because of the gap, many people were late. There were times when it seemed like there was not going to be any session at all but in the end we had a good session.
The predecided speaker spoke on the predecided topic of Animal Sacrifice on Religious Grounds.
Next was the self-decided speaker, whose self-decided topic was "Criticism." I think Ojaswi's speech was one of the finest you'll ever hear. He hesitated at the start but he was speaking without referring to any paper and he was very fluent.
The impromptu speaker didn't impress me much because he took much more than the allotted time and was he was vague.
I was one of the six commentators. I was commenting on the predecided speaker and I made a mess of it. I stopped midway and had to ask for my sheet to remember the negative poing about Dev's speech.
The grammarian suggested that I should say "e could not hear a few of his words" instead of "There were a few words that we couldn't hear." She also commented on all other speeches.
The time keeper said that I finished my commentating in exactly one minutes. I was allowed to speak for two and I stopped for a while in between.
The Ah counter said that I had only three pauses including one long one. He was counting all the Ahs, the Buts, the Chhs, and so on. But he didn't count any of them from my speech. I wonder if it was actually the case.
The chairperson gave a very good critical analysis of the session. Prajjwol is really smart. He still thinks he needs to improve. I wonder how much higher there is to go.
For next week, I wanted to be a grammarian or an impromptu speaker but I'm going to be an Ah counter which is going to be interesting.
I'm looking forward to next week's session.
