Today's smart club session was longer than usual. I decided to take the role of the Gramarian in the first session. The three speeches were by Sudip Gautam, Dev Kumar Sunuwar, and Vinit Agrawal. The perdecided speaker spoke on Nepal Bandh and its Impacts. The selfdecided speaker spoke on Globalization and its impacts in Nepal. The impromptu speaker was given the topic Cyber Crime and Youths. The three commentators were Binni Bhandari, Manish Joshi, and Nischal Sharma. Ojaswi Ghimire kept time and Sagar Dev Bhatta counted the Ah!s. The first session was coordinated by Ajay Upreti while Suman Ghimire was today's chairperson and overall critical analyst. He forgot about me while he was thanking everybody at the end of the session.
The three speeches were good. I think Vinit's speech was the best of the three. The commentators were also pretty good. Today again, I had trouble while explaining the grammatical errors that the speakers committed. I couldn't tell them all the mistakes I had noted down. Overall, the first session was good and I'm happy with my performance.
In the moderation session on Rule of Law, I was supposed to be a moderator. I did a terrible job. I hadn't spent any time at all in planning and preparation. I was supposed to take control and guide the process. I was liberal and let them carry on most of the time. The two paper presenters were supposed make ten-minute presentations but they ended up speaking for 15 and 30 minutes respectively. The commentators were fair in their comments.
It was nice to have Ojaswi back after a month. He was really missed in the last three sessions.
Next week, I will be the chairperson of the first session. So, I will be doing an overall critical analysis of the first session. I'm supposed to present a paper in the second session. So, for the first time, I need to do some preparation before going to the smart club. My paper presentation will be on Lean Management.
So, this is all for now. I'll write again next week.
